MILL HALL — Miller’s Gun Shop recently combined a holiday promotion with community support through a generous giveaway benefiting the Central Mountain High School Clay Target Team.

As part of the holiday event, customers who purchased a box of shotgun shells were entered into a drawing for a nighttime .223 package. For those who wished to participate in the drawing but did not need the ammunition, Miller’s Gun Shop offered the option to donate their box of shotgun shells to the Central Mountain High School Clay Target Team instead.

According to Beth Bason, a total of 200 chances were sold during the holiday giveaway, with 158 boxes of shotgun ammunition donated back to the Central Mountain High School Clay Target Team. The winning ticket was drawn and belonged to Alec Miller.

This donation will help alleviate financial barriers for student athletes by assisting with the cost of ammunition needed for practice. The support ensures students have greater access to training opportunities and allows the team to continue developing their skills throughout the season.

Miller’s Gun Shop has been and continues to be one of the Central Mountain High School Clay Target Team’s strongest supporters. In addition to this recent donation, Miller’s Gun Shop proudly sponsors the team by providing shooting vests and ongoing support that plays a vital role in the team’s success.

Miller’s Gun Shop’s continued commitment highlights the positive impact local businesses can have on youth programs and the broader community.

An informational meeting and registration night for the Target Team’s 2026 Spring Season will be held on Feb. 2 at 6 p.m., at the Liberty Township Sportsmen’s Club. Registration is open to students in grades 9-12 attending Central Mountain High School, Bucktail Area High School and Sugar Valley Rural Charter School.
