Redmon hired as super in Wisconsin
Francis Redmon
MILL HALL — A social media post shared by a school district in Wisconsin this week indicated Keystone Central School District Superintendent Dr. Francis Redmon has been chosen to replace its outgoing superintendent.
The post, shared by the Tomah Area School District on March 31, indicated its board of directors selected Redmon among other candidates to become the district’s superintendent.
According to information on the district’s website, it is roughly 100 miles away from metropolitan areas such as Madison and 170 miles from Minneapolis and St. Paul.
The release noted Redmon is currently completing his second year as KCSD’s superintendent.
Redmon was first appointed to the position in February 2024 by the board under a four-year contract. He replaced Dr. Jacqueline Martin who retired that same year.
According to the information released by the Tomah Area School District, Redmon is expected to begin his duties on July 1, 2026.
Redmon’s contract with Keystone Central is set to expire in 2028, with the board of directors taking steps to hold a procedural review of his work sometime this year. At the time of his appointment, Redmon’s salary was set at $155,000 a year, prorated.
There has been no official word on whether Redmon officially accepted the position or what this means for KCSD.
The school board is set to hold its work session on Thursday, April 9, and a voting session on Thursday, April 16.
Each meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., held in person at the school board’s meeting room and available to watch virtually via Zoom on the district’s website.
