State College man denied bail for third time in child sex assault case

Kenneth Yerger

LOCK HAVEN — Kenneth Yerger, 28, of Longmeadow Lane, State College, was denied his release from prison on bail, during a bail hearing held on Friday, Feb. 7.

In 2024, Yerger was charged with over 50 counts of sex-related offenses committed against four females between the ages of 9 and 15 years of age, according to a previous report from Crimewatch.

On Feb. 7, at the Clinton County Courthouse, a bail hearing occurred before the Honorable Judge Michael Salisbury; defense attorney Brian Ulmer, representing Yerger; and Clinton County District Attorney Dave Strouse, for the Commonwealth.

According to Crimewatch, Strouse argued that since Yerger is facing 59 felony counts of sexual assault involving minors, which could result in Yerger facing the potential of 400 years in prison,

Yerger’s $750,000 bail should remain as it stands.

On Monday, Judge Salisbury upheld Yeager’s bail, Crimewatch reported. Yerger remains in the Clinton County Prison in lieu of $750,000 cash bail.

A jury trial has been scheduled for Aug. 7 through Aug. 12, at the Clinton County Courthouse, Crimewatch said.

Yerger faces the following charges: two counts of Rape of a Child (F1); two counts of Statutory Sexual Assault (F2); two counts of Aggravated Indecent Assault (F2); 15 counts of Indecent Assault (F3); 17 Counts of Unlawful Contact With a Minor (F1); two Counts of Sexual Assault (F2); 17 Counts of Corruption of Minors (F3); and two counts of Indecent Assault (F3).

Starting at $3.69/week.
