Two vehicle crash
LAMAR — No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash along Interstate 80 East in Lamar Township on May 24, state police at Lamar said.
At 12:39 a.m., Matthew O. Garneau, 19, of Jacksonville, Fla., was traveling east in the center lane in his 2019 Chevrolet Silverado when he struck a slower moving 2023 Freightliner, driven by Shaun Morgan, 48, of Irwin, Pa., police said.
The crash caused disabling damage to Garneau’s vehicle, which came to rest in the right lane, police said.
Morgan’s vehicle suffered minor damage and was able to be driven from the scene, police said.
Garneau was cited in relation to driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.
Vehicle rear ended
MACKEYVILLE — The passenger in a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt was transported to UPMC Lock Haven for suspected minor injuries following a rear end crash along Nittany Valley Drive near Mackeyville Road in Lamar Township, state police at Lamar said.
On May 23 at 12:27 p.m., Heather M. Markley, 42, of Mill Hall, and her passenger, a 9-year-old Mill Hall girl, were stopped in a 2017 GMC Terrain waiting for a vehicle in front to turn left when they were struck by the Cobalt, driven by Jay W. Merryman, 81, of Avis, who did not see the vehicle stopped, police said.
Merryman’s passenger, Dorthy Merryman, 77, of Avis, was transported for suspected minor injuries and he was cited in relation to following too closely, police said.
Merryman’s vehicle was towed from the scene, with Markley’s vehicle suffering minor damage to the rear bumper, police said.
Harassment
RENOVO — A 54-year-old Renovo man was cited for harassment following an incident along Renovo Road, Chapman Township on May 25, state police at Lamar said.
At 12:12 p.m., police were called to the area of the 12000 block of the roadway for a welfare check involving the man and a 14-year-old Renovo male, police said.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that a physical altercation occurred between the man and teen, police said.
The 54-year-old was cited for harassment through District Judge Frank Mills’ office, police said.
Domestic incident
WOOLRICH — One person was cited for harassment following an incident along Park Avenue, Pine Creek Township on May 24, state police at Lamar said.
At 1:53 a.m., police were called to the area for reports of a domestic in progress between two adult brothers — a 58-year-old and 61-year-old, both of Lock Haven, police said.
During an argument over money, the 58-year-old allegedly struck his brother on the shoulder with a 2×4 board causing a minor injury to the 61-year-old, police said.
A non-traffic citation for harassment was filed against the arrestee, police said.
Corruption of minors
FLEMINGTON — State police at Lamar are currently investigating a possible corruption of minors case in Flemington Borough.
On May 5 at 7:26 p.m., PSP were contacted by an internet watchdog service in Canada to check activity of an individual, whose information as not listed in the report, police said.
Man under influence
vandalizes park
FLEMINGTON — A 53-year-old Lock Haven man was arrested for disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, public drunkenness and similar misconduct after an incident in Grove Community Park, Flemington Borough, on May 25, state police at Lamar said.
At 4:08 a.m., police were called to West Fourth Street for reports of a man, Christopher Hastings, attempting to open a door at a residence, police said.
Hastings was found nearby at Grove Community Park where he had fallen down several times, causing minor injury, police said.
While at the park, Hastings allegedly uprooted planted flowers in a flower bed at the park, police said.
Hastings was not in control of his faculties and admitted to drug use earlier in the day, police said.
He was transported via ambulance to the hospital for a medical evaluation, police said.
One vehicle accident
LOGANTON — The driver of a 2016 Volvo VNL was not injured following a one vehicle crash along Interstate 80 East, Greene Township on May 13, state police at Lamar said.
Hermes R. Bonilla Jimenez, 36, of Newark, N.J., was traveling in the left lane when he claimed another vehicle came into his lane of travel, police said.
Bonilla Jimenez lost control of the vehicle on the left shoulder and overturned onto the right side before coming to rest about 15 feet off the roadway, police said.
Bonilla Jimenez’s vehicle sustained disabling damage as a result of the crash, police said.
