Three arrested in burglary
RENOVO — On July 25, at approximately 4:52 p.m., the Renovo Police Department was called to a burglary in progress at 205 Cedar St., in Renovo Borough. Once on scene, police found three adults and four children between the ages of 2-9 inside the house.
Police said their investigation revealed that unlawful entry had been made by entering through a second floor window.
Police said that Christopen Hotchkiss, 39, and Sasha Hotchkiss, 31, both currently living in Renovo, were charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, four counts of endangering the welfare of children and four counts of corruption of minors.
Police said that Christopher Hotchkiss was arraigned by District Judge Frank Mills and released on $20,000 unsecured bail. Sasha Hotchkiss was arraigned by District Judge Keith Kibler and released on $15,000 unsecured bail.
Police said that Christopher Hotchkiss is a repeat criminal offender with three pending criminal cases this year alone.
Additionally, police said that Alicia Graham, 19, of Lock Haven, was also charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking in the incident. She was arraigned before District Judge Frank Mills and released on $8,000 unsecured bail.
Woman scammed out of
$3,500 over phone
BELLEFONTE — A 78-year-old Bellefonte woman reported to state police at Rockview on the morning of July 21 that she had been scammed out of $3,499 over the phone, police said.
Disorderly conduct along I-80
SNOW SHOE — A 53-year-old man from Boyertown was cited for disorderly conduct on Aug. 1 after state police were dispatched to a location along Interstate 80 in Snow Shoe Township.
