PFA violation
HOWARD — State police at Rockview arrested Wesley Snyder, 38, of Flemington, for a PFA violation on June 27.
Police said the victim was a 25-year-old female of Primrose Lane, Howard.
Sobriety checkpoints
CENTRE COUNTY — State police at Rockview are alerting the public and area motorists that sobriety checkpoints will be conducted by the PSP within Centre County in the upcoming weeks.
Motorists that encounter the checkpoints will be stopped briefly. When there is an indication that a driver has consumed alcohol or controlled substances, or committed any other violation of the law, the occupants may be detained for further investigation.
Cpl. J.R. Pollick of Rockview has said that primary emphasis during the sobriety checkpoints will be on those driving under the influence, but all traffic laws will be enforced.
Minor injury crash
FILLMORE — State police at Rockview investigated an accident at the 1100 block of Fillmore Road in Benner Township on June 18, at 10:14 p.m.
Police said Dakota L. Butler, 30, of Bellefonte, was traveling north on Fillmore Road near its intersection with Buffalo Run Road when he failed to negotiate a left hand curve in the roadway.
The 2013 Ford F-150 XLT crossed the oncoming lane and struck a guide rail before coming to a final rest in a ditch with the airbags deployed. Police said Butler was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Rich’s Amoco provided towing services for the disabled truck.
Criminal trespass
LOCK HAVEN — Woodward Township Police have charged 43-year-old Stephanie A. Hamilton, address unknown, with criminal trespass stemming from an offense on Aug. 15 at 19 Crist Lane in Woodward Township.
Police said Hamilton was arrested by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies at that time on unrelated outstanding criminal warrants.
Police said Hamilton has previously been banned from all trailer park property, and was charged for trespassing on the same trailer park property in 2023.
Hamilton was arraigned on Aug. 20 by MDJ Keith Kibler and committed to the Clinton County Prison in lieu of $1,000 monetary bail.
Driving under suspension
LOCK HAVEN — Woodward Township Police conducted a vehicle stop on a car being driven by Malik J. Brown, 33, of Lock Haven, on Aug. 20 at 4:10 p.m. for traffic violations along Woodward Avenue.
Police said that Brown has never had a driver’s license, and his operating privilege was suspended due to two prior DUI convictions.
Police said this was Brown’s fourth offense of driving while suspended and DUI related.
Brown was taken into custody and brought to the Clinton County Correctional Facility and charged with a misdemeanor of driving under suspension, DUI related. Brown was arraigned by MDJ Keith Kibler and released on $5,000 unsecured bail, police said.
