DUI crash

AVIS — Jeremy D. Miller, 46, of Blanchard, was arrested on foot after a DUI-related hit-and-run on Greico Drive in Pine Creek Township, at 4:04 p.m. Aug. 25, according to state police at Lamar.

An 18-year-old driver in a 2017 Lincoln MKC, who police said was legally stopped in the eastbound lane of Woodward Avenue waiting for another driver to make a turn, was rear-ended by Miller, causing minor damage to both vehicles.

The Lincoln’s operator pulled off to the side of the road to exchange information, but Miller allegedly drove away from the scene, parked the vehicle and continued on foot, according to state police.

Miller was apprehended about 0.2 miles from the vehicle, visibly impaired, police said.

Charges are pending a toxicology report.

Break-in

AVIS — A crank-operated window at Avis Investors on First Street in Pine Creek Township was damaged after being pried open, according to state police at Lamar.

Police said it is believed the suspect entered the building through the window, which was discovered damaged on the morning of Sept. 1.

Cruelty to animals investigation

BEECH CREEK — State police at Lamar said they conducted an investigation on Sept. 2 into a reported instance of possible animal neglect.

Police said the investigation found no evidence of neglect or abuse, and the case was closed with no additional police action required.

Damaged mailboxes

LOGANTON — Mailboxes belonging to at least four residents of Loganton were damaged on West Winter Road, in Greene Township, on Aug. 29, according to state police at Lamar.

The investigation is ongoing, police said. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact PSP Lamar at 570-726-6000.

Three-vehicle crash

JACKSONVILLE — One person sustained suspected minor injuries in a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Marion Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Police said the crash occurred when John R. Cicilioni, 40, of Clarks Summit, Pa., allegedly failed to notice traffic slowing ahead. Cicilioni’s 2023 Toyota RAV4 struck the rear of a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, pushing it into a 2024 Subaru Outback.

Cicilioni, who was charged with following too closely, refused medical transportation, police said. The Toyota was towed from the scene.

Drug possession

WINGATE — State police at Rockview said they are continuing to investigate a July 23 incident of drug possession involving a known male suspect on Summers Lane in Boggs Township.

One-vehicle crash

McELHATTAN — No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle crash along McElhattan Drive, Wayne Township on Sept. 21, state police at Lamar said.

At 8:42 p.m., Whitney A. Fowler, 39, of Williamsport, was traveling north on the roadway when her 2015 Mazda went off the road and struck a concrete curb with the front passenger side tire, causing disabling damage, police said.

No charges were filed and the vehicle was towed from the scene by Jim’s Auto and Repair, police said.

Retail theft

MILL HALL — An 18-year-old Baltimore, Md. man was cited for retail theft following an incident at Walmart in Bald Eagle Township, state police at Lamar said.

Police were called to the store on Sept. 22 at 5:53 a.m., where the man was accused of stealing $138.32 in general merchandise from the store.

He was taken into custody, processed and released with charges, police said.

Drug charges

SOUTH AVIS — State police at Lamar reported on Sept. 22 at 10:24 a.m., drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in the area of Delaware Avenue, Pine Creek Township.

According to police, charges were prepared for Charles Brennan, 63, of Jersey Shore, through District Judge Keith Kibler’s office.

Stolen wallet

MILL HALL — A 41-year-old Lock Haven man was cited for theft following an incident along Hogan Boulevard, Bald Eagle Township on July 18, state police at Lamar said.

According to police, troopers were called to the area at 7:30 a.m. where a 32-year-old Beech Creek woman reported her wallet was stolen.

When they arrived on scene the suspect fled but later returned the wallet and admitted to taking it, police said.

The wallet was retrieved but a sum of cash was missing. The wallet and the items inside were returned to the owner, police said.

The Lock Haven man was cited for theft of lost/mislaid property through District Judge Heidi Wright’s office, police said.
