Mistrial declared in trial for man accused of killing neighbors’ dog

Injuries reported in domestic incident RENOVO — A 44-year-old Renovo man was taken into custody after state police at Lamar were called to a domestic incident along 5th Street in Renovo Borough on Feb. 11. According to police, troopers were dispatched to a home at 10:12 p.m. for reports of a domestic with injuries. County man sentenced to 7.5 years in federal prison on child porn charges

WILLIAMSPORT — A Clinton County man has been sentenced to 7 1/2 years in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release in a child pornography case. Michael Adam Meyer, 28, was sentenced Friday by U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann on a charge of receipt of child pornography to which he had pleaded guilty in October. Meyer told the judge he turned to pornography and used drugs after he lost his job and a relationship. He said he rationalized his conduct by saying he was not hurting anyone.
