Vehicle strikes tree LOCK HAVEN — The driver of a 2011 Chevrolet was transported for suspected minor injuries following a crash along Bear Pen Hollow Road in Gallagher Township on Dec. 16, state police at Lamar said. Jacques Paul, 37, of Lock Haven, was traveling along the 2400 block of the road when he failed to negotiate a left curve, traveling off the east side of the road and striking a tree, police said. Centre County Coroner IDs victims in Christmas Day crash

HOWARD— The Centre County Coroner’s Office has identified the three people who died in a Christmas Day vehicle accident in Howard. The victims were identified as Diana Lyons, 37, Richard Harriot, 33, and a 10-year-old boy, all of Lock Haven. The coroner stated the cause of death was blunt force trauma. PSP report 1,007 crashes, 458 DUI arrests over Christmas holiday

HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania State Police recently released traffic enforcement and crash statistics for the 2025 Christmas holiday travel period. Between Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Sunday, Dec. 28, state police investigated 1,007 vehicle crashes, six of which resulted in fatalities and 137 in injuries. Impaired driving was identified as a factor in 53 of those accidents.
