Theft from car MILL HALL — State police at Lamar were called to the parking lot of Lowe’s in Mill Hall on Aug. 1 for the report of a theft. Police said a caller reported observing a theft take place in the parking lot in which a female appeared to approach a parked vehicle, reach in the window and take something from inside the front of the car. Police said the victim is a 23 year old man from Mill Hall. BELLEFONTE — The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) have received reports of scam phone calls targeting members of the public. These calls appear to originate from official PSP station phone numbers and falsely claim to be a Pennsylvania State Police Lieutenant. The callers attempt to intimidate recipients, insisting that they must pay fines immediately or face legal consequences. Be wary of unsolicited phone calls, especially those that claim to be from law enforcement or government agencies. The PSP is currently investigating these incidents.
