PSP release Fourth of July statistics

LOCK HAVEN — Pennsylvania State Police released statistics regarding crashes and other enforcement which took place over the 4-day Fourth of July holiday weekend. According to a release from PSP, it investigated 803 vehicle crashes during the holiday’s travel period — July 3 through July 6. These crashes included 12 fatalities and 58 non-fatal crashes which involved a driver under the influence. “During the enforcement period, state troopers made 458 arrests for driving under the influence and 150 drug-related arrests,” a release from PSP said. “Troopers also issued 5,790 ...
