PennDOT to close I-80 eastbound off-ramp at Loganton on Monday

LOGANTON — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced it will close the off-ramp at exit 185/Loganton on Interstate 80 eastbound in Greene Township, Clinton County, starting Monday, July 21.

This project will improve ride quality, extend the service life, and enhance safety for motorists on all the ramps at the exit.

While this ramp is closed, traffic will continue along I-80 eastbound for seven miles and take exit 192/Jersey Shore. Drivers will then take I-80 westbound back to Loganton and exit via the westbound off-ramp. PennDOT expects work at this ramp to take approximately a week to complete before reopening. All work is weather-dependent.

Work on the westbound off-ramp is also expected as part of this project. PennDOT will issue an update with expected traffic impacts before closing that ramp.

Work for this contract includes concrete pavement patching, paving, milling rumble strips, pavement marking, and miscellaneous construction on two off-ramps with a combined construction length of 640 linear feet. HRI, Inc., of State College, Pa., is the contractor for this $619,600 project.
