PSP release photo of man who rammed into ex’s vehicle, fired shot before fleeing in stolen truck

PHOTO PROVIDED Adam Taylor, 47, of South Williamsport, is wanted by Pennsylvania State Police following an incident along Route 220 in Woodward Township Thursday afternoon.

State police are still searching for a South Williamsport man who rammed his pickup truck into his ex’s SUV on Route 220 in Woodward Township before firing one shot and fleeing the seen in a stolen vehicle on Thursday afternoon.

Since the search began, PSP has released the name of the suspect – Adam Taylor, 47, of South Williamsport – along with a photograph.

According to police, Taylor was last seen wearing work boots, blue jeans, a brown hooded sweatshirt and a brown/black trucker style hate.

He is possibly operating a red in color 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 with duel rear wheels and license plate registration FM7491C.

He was last seen in the 200 Block of Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore at approximately 5 p.m. Thursday night, police said.

Taylor is believed to be armed with a rifle and considered dangerous. Anyone who see’s Taylor is asked to call 911 immediately, police said.

The following information was released by PSP Montoursville about the initial incident:

At approximately 3:30pm Pennsylvania State Police Montoursville responded to an incident on SR 220 South near Spook Hollow Rd in Piatt Township. They were informed that a female was driving a sedan, being followed by her ex-paramour in his pickup truck. He then used his pickup truck to ram her sedan. After ramming the vehicle, he retrieved a rifle from inside his truck and fired one round through his windshield in the direction of her vehicle. There were no injuries reported.

After the shooting, the white male fled his vehicle and stole a 2017 red, Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck bearing PA license plate FM7491C from Pine Run Rd in Linden, PA. Last known sighting was around 5:00pm when the fleeing vehicle was turning North on Quenshukney Rd.

He is believed to be armed with a rifle. The investigation remains active and is ongoing at this

time.

Due to the incident, some area schools have chosen to operate on a a flexible, virtual learning schedule including Jersey Shore Area School District. A post from the district Friday morning stated information about afterschool activities would be shared at a later time.

Keystone Central School District is operating on a regular schedule as of this morning.
