LOCK HAVEN — Adam Christopher Quigley, 39, of Wellsboro faces a number of charges following a hit and run of a pedestrian and police chase over the weekend in Lock Haven.
According to information released by Lock haven City Police, officers responded to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle on March 16. The victim told police a pickup truck intentionally hit them before fleeing the scene.
“Shortly after, a Commonwealth University-Lock Haven officer located the truck and initiated a traffic stop. However, the suspect fled the stop, rammed the patrol vehicle multiple times, and fled again,” police said.
Quigley led officers on a high-speed chase through city streets, crossed the Jay Street bridge into Woodward Township, where he turned the truck around and “drove head-on toward officers, striking a second patrol vehicle and disabling it.”
Police reported Quigley “continued to flee, striking a parked vehicle during the pursuit and eventually came to a stop due to becoming disabled.”
Pennsylvania State Police troopers in the area assisted and apprehended Quigley, police said.
According to the report, Quigley was taken to the Clinton County Correctional Facility for processing and attempted to flee again, exiting the patrol vehicle.
