Watch out for dangerously severe thunderstorms this afternoon
LOCK HAVEN — A potentially dangerous weather situation is developing this afternoon and evening. Forecasters at National Weather Service out of State College are concerned about the possibility of severe thunderstorms — some of which may reach supercell status. These supercells are expected to present threats which, according to forecasters, “we may only experience once or twice a year.” This includes wind gusts over 75 miles-per-hour, EF-2 tornadoes, flash floods and large hail.
