PennDOT reduces speed limits on Interstates 80, 99

LOCK HAVEN – Due to the severity of winter conditions, PennDOT is temporarily reducing the speed limit on Interstates 80 and 99 in the north central region. Commercial vehicles are restricted to the right lane only. PennDOT restores speed limits on region’s Interstates

LOCK HAVEN – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) lifted all speed limit and right-lane-only commercial vehicle restrictions in place on interstates in the region at 1 p.m. I-80 westbound between exit 147/Snow Shoe in Centre County and exit 133/Kylertown in Clearfield County, which was closed due to multiple crashes, also reopened. Avis man found guilty of indecent assault

LOCK HAVEN - Eric Montague King, 45, recently of Lafayette Street in Avis, was convicted of seven of eight crimes charged by a Clinton County jury on Thursday, following a one-day trial. The jury returned guilty verdicts on three counts of Indecent Assault, second degree misdemeanors, and one count of Harassment, a third degree misdemeanor. President Judge Craig P. Miller, who presided over the trial, also found King guilty of three additional charges of Harassment, all graded as summaries. Express office hours reduced Nov. 17

Due to continued issues with the building's heating system, The Express community newspaper office at 9-11 W. Main St. in downtown Lock Haven will be open from only 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Wed., Nov. 17. There will be limited staffing in the office. And while all staff will not be in the office today, they are accessible by email or cell phone.
