City council updated on sale of Dickey Elementary

LOCK HAVEN - The sale of the former Dickey Elementary School will hopefully become a reality soon. Jeff Johnston, Keystone Central School District board member, updated Lock Haven City Council on how the district plans to sell the property. Johnston said an outdoor auction will be held on March 27 at 9:05 a.m. by Harry Schenck Auctioneer Service. Snow delays delivery; Express office to close

The Express community newspaper has suspended delivery of its print edition this morning due to deteriorating road conditions. Carriers and haulers who were unable to make delivery due to snowy, slippery roads and associated hazards will deliver today's papers tomorrow. Vehicle accidents close Renovo Road

LOCK HAVEN - Two vehicle accidents that took place Thursday morning on Renovo Road have closed the highway from just outside Lock Haven to Hyner indefinitely. Both accidents took place around 11 a.m. The first was reported in the 1100 block near the 40&8 Club #903, 1098 Renovo Road. According to reports, a telephone pole and wires were knocked down during the crash. The second accident was reported soon after in the 8000 block near Hyner. Clinton up 20; Centre adds 130 new COVID-19 cases

New coronavirus numbers locally and statewide saw a jump compared to this weekend's numbers. On Monday, the Pennsylvania Department of Health reported that Clinton County added 20 cases of COVID-19, 10 more than were reported on Saturday. Its total now stands at 2,437. Centre County added 130 cases - compared to 74 on Saturday - of the deadly virus. Its total now stands at 10,655. Throughout the state, there were 7,910 new cases of COVID-19.
