JSASD to eliminate hybrid school due to low enrollment in option

JERSEY SHORE – When the second marking period begins Nov. 2, students in the Jersey Shore Area School District will have just two instruction options available as the board approved eliminating the hybrid model of instruction at their meeting Monday night. Instruction for students K-12 will only be available in person or totally remote in the district’s online program, JSOL. Clinton up one; Centre adds 116 COVID-19 cases

One new case of COVID-19 was reported in Clinton County and Centre saw an increase of 116 cases on Tuesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Since the outbreak first began there have been 208 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County. Lock Haven University reported two faculty/students have tested positive for the virus out of 769 tests on both asymptomatic and symptomatic individuals. City adds additional restrictions to emergency declaration

LOCK HAVEN - Additional restrictions were included in an amendment to Lock Haven’s emergency declaration on Monday night during city council’s regular meeting. Among those changes include the cancellation of events in city parks and ball fields and no outdoor entertainment at the city’s Pedestrian Mall on the Main and Grove Street stage. The City of Lock Haven, via Manager Greg Wilson, has issued the following statement, with all directives effective today, Sept. 22, 2020: The City of Lock Haven's COVID-19 incidence rate has climbed to its highest point to date, 143.98 per 100,000 excluding Lock Haven University students who have tested positive, which are reported separate from the other residents of the city's zip code. Twelve new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Clinton County and Centre saw an increase of 109 cases on Monday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Since the outbreak first began there have been 198 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County. Lock Haven University, which restarted in-person instruction this week, reported 26 faculty/students have tested positive for the virus out of 758 tests on both asymptomatic and symptomatic individuals. No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Clinton County and Centre saw another increase on Friday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Since the outbreak first began there have been 185 total cases of COVID-19 in Clinton County. Centre County saw an increase of 30 cases, a significant decrease from the 92 that were reported yesterday. The current total stands at 1,630 cases throughout the county, the department said.
