Pauline Elizabeth Baier

Pauline Elizabeth Baier, 92, of 310 Sturdevant St., Flemington, passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2017 at Susque-View Home, Lock Haven.

She was born in Lock Haven on April 27, 1925, the daughter of the late Raymond C. Streck, Sr. and Pearl B. Mitcheltree Streck.

On Nov. 26, 1945 in Lock Haven, Pauline married Paul J. Baier whom preceded her in death Oct. 12, 1985.

She worked at Sylvania in the 1950s before dedicating herself as a stay-at-home mother and wife.

Pauline was a member of the Flemington Church of Christ. She was a lifetime member of the Women of the Moose, and a member of the Beech Creek American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Red Hat Ladies Society.

Pauline enjoyed bingo, bus trips with her sisters to Atlantic City and eating Angela Kay’s spaghetti with extra sauce at the Village Tavern. Late at night, she would love talking to her brothers and sisters on the phone, sometimes talking for hours.

She is survived by a son, Donald E. Baier of Lock Haven; a daughter, Donna K. (Randy) Dorey of Beech Creek; a sister, Eva (Jack) Orndorf of Lock Haven; three grandchildren, Christopher (Rebecca) Baier of Oregon, Kevin (Ashley) Baier of Salona and Carolyn (Jeremy) Barker of Virginia; and one great-grandchild, Deacon Baier.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Baier; two brothers, Richard and Raymond Streck; and two sisters, Betty Spangler and Pearl Beatrice Clark.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017 at 11a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, Pa. 17745 with Pastor Dennis Callahan officiating. Private burial will be held at Linnwood Cemetery, McElhattan.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home for a viewing on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8p.m.
