Phyllis L. (DeGarmo) Kouf

Phyllis L. (DeGarmo) Kouf, 84, of North Bend passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, at UPMC Williamsport Hospital.

Born Nov. 20, 1940 in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Levi P. and Joyce C. (Jacobs) DeGarmo.

Phyllis was married 23 years to Dan E. Kouf, who died in 1982.

She was the owner/operator of the North Bend Hotel for many years and earlier she worked at Bobbi Brooks.

Phyllis was a 1958 graduate of Lock Haven High School. She enjoyed reading, socializing with her friends, shopping and loved her pet cat.

Surviving are a stepson; Gene (Angie) Lavelle of North Bend; two grandchildren, Katelyn and Nicole; along with three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is a sister, Sylvia J. Conklin, of Lock Haven, and several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Miller.

Services and interment will be at North Bend Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Renovo Public Library or the Clinton County SPCA.
