Michael K. Durost

Michael K. Durost, 62, of Mill Hall, Pa., passed away on April 1, 2026, at the Jersey Shore Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Lock Haven, Pa., to parents Orin and Phyllis (Berry) Durost on Jan. 11, 1964.

He was a proud 1982 Bald Eagle Nittany High School graduate. He went on to join the National Guard after high school and maintained an occupation as a specialty contractor and construction worker for over 30 years.

Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing karaoke, riding dirt bikes and being with his friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his daughter, J-Lin (Tyrion) Durost, of Lock Haven; his life partner, Christy Medeiros, of Lock Haven; his brother, Dan (Jody) Durost, of Lexington, N.C.; and his sisters, Brenda (Tony) Lloyd, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Pam (Billy) George, of West Palm Beach, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his best friend and brother, Tim Durost.

A Gathering of friends and family will be held at the Gedon Funeral Homes & Cremation Services LLC, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 2:30-4 p.m., and will be concluded with a Military Service conducted by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.

Burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
