We are grateful for the leadership and foresight of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania — Lock Haven, Mansfield and Bloomsburg universities — in entering an agreement with school districts across our region to serve students wanting to enhance their lives with education. We watch in horror the devastation wrought on Florida, in particular, by Hurricane Ian. We pray for the people and communities who must now rebuild their lives in Florida, Puerto Rico, the Carolinas and Cuba. We urge all interested citizens to consider and become a poll worker for the upcoming Nov. 11 General Election and future elections. At a time when we see shortages of workers in general, and when our elections and our democratic processes are being called into question, we need more people to step up and strengthen the most critical and fundamental element of our Democracy. There is no denying that David Leidholdt has been among the most dedicated and hard-working artistic directors to ever set foot in Millbrook Playhouse.
