DETROIT – The Baltimore Ravens signed Lock Haven football standout running back Chris Collier following the 2024 NFL draft on Saturday night.

Collier is the first known Bald Eagle signed to an NFL roster since Mike Packer with the Jets in 1972.

The Collier buzz caught fire after his Pro Day at Temple University on March 26, where he finished in the top-ten among NFL Combine running backs in the 40-year dash, bench press and vertical/broad jump, while ranking first in the shuttle and three-cone drill.

The next stop for Collier is the Ravens’ rookie minicamp. Teams will hold a three-day camp for rookies on the two weekends following the NFL Draft. It is up to each team which weekend they choose, as they can only have one minicamp.

Following a standout campaign as a graduate student for the Bald Eagles, Collier’s postseason accolades include: D2football.com Elite 100, first-team AFCA DII All-American, Don Hansen All-American honorable mention, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, first-team All-PSAC East selection and second-team D2CCA All-Region honoree and first-team AFCA All-American.

Collier, who led the PSAC is total rushing yards (1,393), rushing yards-per-game (126.6) and ranked second in rushing touchdowns (12), helped lead the Bald Eagles to their first five-win season since 1982.

In the process, he became Lock Haven’s first 1,000-yard rusher since 1981, while his 1,393 rushing yards broke the Lock Haven single-season record set by Lock Haven Hall of Famer Joe Speese’s in 1979.

Lock Haven finished the season with five wins which served as the first five-win season since 1982.
