MILL HALL — George Dixon won his first feature limited late model feature on Friday night, in a thrilling race filled with excitement to the checkered flag. Cory Long of Selinsgrove won his second consecutive feature event in pro stock competition, while Mason McAndrew won the 270 micro sprints and Hunter Flook of Avis won the four cylinders. STATE COLLEGE – Matt Campbell is gearing up for his first Blue-White Game “without a couple quarterbacks” due to injury. Campbell said Tuesday, however, that projected starter Rocco Becht — who is recovering from December surgery to his left (non-throwing) shoulder — will see action in 7-on-7 passing situations. “I want him to throw the football in the stadium with obviously with our fans and everybody else out there,” Campbell said. “I think it's really important that he's made really great strides to being back.” The game is being billed as a practice and begins ...

Wagaman Jr. wins 410 sprints at Williams Grove Speedway

The PA Posse was active last weekend at Williams Grove and Lincoln Speedways. Troy Wagaman Jr. claimed the 30-lap Tommy Hinnershitz Classic for 410 sprint cars at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night. It was his first win in the race, worth $8,000. It was also the first oval win of the season for the defending track champion. The victory was the fifth overall of Wagaman’s career at Williams Grove Speedway. LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven lacrosse standout Gabby Gunnip was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division Athlete of the Week for the second straight week. Leading Lock Haven to wins over Gannon and No. 22 Seton Hill, Gunnip led the Bald Eagles with 12 points (eight goals, four assists), while adding four ground balls on the week.
