Central Mountain track and field sees success in loss to Shamokin

Central Mountain's track and field athletes saw success in a number of different events, but the Wildcats were swept by Shamokin in a dual meet on Tuesday. The Shamokin girls beat Central Mountain, 93-57, while the Shamokin boys won, 99-51. Central Mountain's Grace Koehane claimed a victory in the 800 with a time of 2:32.87, winning the event by almost 20 seconds over Shamokin's Madison Anderson. Battaglia announces 2026 coaching staff for Lock Haven football

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven football second-year coach Joe Battaglia has announced the Bald Eagles’ coaching staff for the 2026 season. Rick Istvan (defensive line) and Josh Bernocco (wide receivers) have joined the staff, while Jeri Petite Jr. has been promoted to Offensive Coordinator. LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven softball team wrapped up a perfect 6-0 week in thrilling fashion by sweeping West Chester in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Lawrence Field. Lock Haven won game one, 10-2, in five innings, before walking off game two, 8-7, in the bottom of the eighth. SELINSGROVE — Jersey Shore had a number of athletes competing on Saturday at the Dan Wilhour Classic in Selinsgrove in track and field on Saturday and take home a top-10 finish. The Bulldogs' top finisher came from freshman Elizabeth Hollick. The Bulldog ran a time of 16.65 to take home a second-place finish int he 100 hurdles, trailing only Selinsgrove junior Mikayla Martin, who ran a 15.41 to win.
