LHU baseball splits pair of games with Slippery Rock, walks it off to end skid

LOCK HAVEN – The Lock Haven baseball team battled Slippery Rock on Saturday in the back half of their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division four-game series. Lock Haven fell in game one 11-8, but bounced back and took game two 5-4. Both games went into extra innings. KUTZTOWN — The Lock Haven softball team continued its eight-game road trip by traveling to Kutztown on Saturday afternoon for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division doubleheader. Central Mountain, Jersey Shore and Bald Eagle Area’s boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Lock Haven Bald Eagle Invitational at Lock Haven University on Friday and numerous athletes saw success throughout various events. Central Mountain senior Damien Winner ran a 6:52.71 to take home second in the boys 2,000 steeplechase and trailed only Loyalsock’s Cashlin Rogers, who won in 6:44.04.
