Peck gets by Smith to win 410 sprints at Williams Grove

It was a big race weekend for central Pennsylvania with PA Posse and multiple others in action.  On Friday night Justin Peck got by Ryan Smith with a late race pass and went on to win the 25-lap feature for 410 sprint cars at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night. The victory was the third of Peck’s career at the track and was worth $5,000. In the 25-lap event for 358 sprints, Derek Locke took the lead from Cole Young for the victory. Central Mountain track and field sees success in loss to Shamokin

Central Mountain's track and field athletes saw success in a number of different events, but the Wildcats were swept by Shamokin in a dual meet on Tuesday. The Shamokin girls beat Central Mountain, 93-57, while the Shamokin boys won, 99-51. Central Mountain's Grace Koehane claimed a victory in the 800 with a time of 2:32.87, winning the event by almost 20 seconds over Shamokin's Madison Anderson. BLOOMSBURG — The red-hot Lock Haven softball team extended its win streak to nine games after sweeping Bloomsburg, 13-5 and 13-3 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon on the road. The Bald Eagles scored 26 runs on the day on 31 hits, while committing zero errors to Bloomsburg’s eight. LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven baseball team squared off against Bloomsburg this Tuesday in a nine-inning affair, falling 12-6. Lock Haven jumped to an early 1-0 lead in the first, but the Huskies would score five runs across the next three innings to put them out in front for the rest of the afternoon.
