As early racing goes, Sunday was another good one as Saturday was canceled due to the weather. Defending track champion Freddie Rahmer started on the pole alongside Kyle Moody with last week’s winner Chase Dietz lining up third. During this past boys wrestling postseason for Jersey Shore, there has been nothing but constant determination, drilling and effort carried into districts. Wrestling takes countless hours of practice all year around to get athletes to district competitions. Lock Haven softball’s Talia Ross was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. Ross was outstanding in the circle for three straight days for Lock Haven. The sophomore won all three starts, while striking out 8.5 hitters per game. On Friday, Ross went 7 2/3 innings, struck out nine, didn’t allow a run and surrendered just two hits at Tusculum.
