The State College Elks’ Lodge #1600 Veterans Service Committee recently made a donation of $700 to the Nittany American Legion Post 245 of State College. It was for the Honor Guard to assist in purchasing new uniforms, a cabinet for storage, ammunition and cleaning supplies for their rifles. They provide Last Honors for deceased veterans as well as providing a Color Guard for conventions as well as flags and rifles for parades and other community events.
