LOCK HAVEN — The Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven starts the new year with a new member, Thomas Darby.

He was inducted during the club’s holiday dinner at Fox’s Market House and received his Rotary pin from his sponsor, Cathy Ballat, at a later meeting.

A recent graduate of the Leadership Clinton County Program, Tom translates medical documents written in foreign languages and is also self-employed in data operations.

Also at the dinner, the club gave two awards for the 2024-25 Rotary year.

Melissa Dally received the Downtowner of the Year Award for her work as Downtown Manager. She recently became tourism director at the Clinton County Economic Partnership.

The club will sponsor a new project in 2026, a bingo to support scholarships, set for Sunday, March 1 at the KBR Bingo Hall. Tickets are now on sale for $20 at The Bus Stops Here store, 25 E. Main St.; The Express, 9 E. Main St.; the Puff Discount stores at 328 Bellefonte Ave. and 103 Hogan Boulevard; and from any Downtown Rotarian.
