Takac announces program clinics for constituents
State Representative Paul Takac has recently announced that both the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program (PTRR) and the Low-Income Heating & Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) are now open and accepting applications.
Takac’s office will be hosting a series of joint PTRR/LIHEAP clinics across the 82nd Legislative District to help constituents navigate the applications. Takac’s staff will be available to answer questions, assist with both program applications and provide additional services for constituents.
To complete your Property Tax/Rent Rebate application, please bring:
— All sources of 2025 income information.
— Property owners should bring a copy of their 2025 property tax bills.
— Renters should bring a certificate signed by your landlord. Blank certificates are available.
To complete your LIHEAP application, please bring:
— Proof of all income
— A recent energy or fuel bill
Takac and his staff will host four clinics over the next few weeks where constituents can meet with staff to complete the PTRR and/or LIHEAP applications. Those clinics will be held as follows:
— On Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Benner Township Building, 1224 Buffalo Run Road, Bellefonte.

Staff will also be available during office hours, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to meet with constituents to complete the respective applications as well as providing help with many other services that are available to constituents.
Other services that Takac’s office routinely assists with include driver and vehicle services, prescription services for Seniors (PACE), obtaining Pennsylvania birth and death certificates, CHIP’s healthcare services for children, information pertaining to boating, hunting and fishing in Pa., voter registration services and more.
Takac’s staff is also able to assist in securing unclaimed property that the Pennsylvania Treasury is holding. Unclaimed property may include closed bank accounts, uncashed checks, including paychecks, lost stocks and bonds, contents of safe deposit boxes, proceeds from demutualization of insurance companies or expired gift cards and gift certificates.
To find out if you have unclaimed property, search your name in the Unclaimed Property database at www.patreasury.gov/unclaimed property, or call 1-800-222-2046. There is no charge to claim your unclaimed property. Takac’s staff will be more than happy to search for unclaimed property in your name and help to complete the necessary paperwork to receive those funds.
