Cash Bingo
SVRCS Foundation’s Annual Cash Bingo will be held on Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m, in the school gym, 236 E. Main St., Loganton. Doors and the kitchen open at 11 a.m. Tickets are available at the school office or at the door for $25. Everyone needs a paid ticket to enter!
In addition to Bingo there will be a gift auction, a 50/50 raffle and rip tickets.
Bellefonte
Fish Fry
Bellefonte Friday Night Fish Fry at St. John’s Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., will be on the following Fridays of Lent: March 6, 13, 20 and March 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. Menu includes baked lemon pepper cod (gluten free) or Yuengling beer battered haddock or Panko crusted fried shrimp; choice of three sides, French fries, mac and cheese, stewed tomatoes, cole slaw, apple sauce and a homemade dessert. Ala Carte items including Haluski and Pierogies with butter. Eat in or take out are available. The, cash only, cost is $15 for adults, $7 for children under 12, under 6 eat for free. Come experience Centre County’s Largest Fish Fry prepared and served by the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Bellefonte Cash Bingo
Cash Bingo will be held at St. John’s Catholic School, 116 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, to benefit the Bellefonte Knights of Columbus. Doors will be open to the public for food, plenty of homemade baked goods, dinner items and small games of chance at 6 p.m., with Bingo starting at 7 p.m. The cost to play is $20 for 20 games, and the payouts will be $850 each month. Bingos will be held on the second Monday of each month through June.
Bingo dates are March 9, April 13, May 11 and June 8.
The school is a smoke-free facility and walk-ins are welcome to come to play Bingo.
Soup Sale
St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Flemington will be holding a soup sale Saturday, March 7, from 10 a.m. to noon. Soups being offered are chicken corn, vegetable beef and ham and bean. The soup is $8 a quart and may be picked up at the church on March 7. Orders may be placed by calling the church office, on or before March 1, at 570-748-5741 and leaving a message on the message machine.
Help Helping Hands Help Others
Helping Hands at United Lutheran Church is a non profit program that helps low income families and senior citizens with items such as toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soap, laundry care, cleaning items and more. They are located at the United Lutheran Church in Lock Have, behind Kentucky Fried Chicken. They are asking for donations to keep the doors open. Any questions, please feel free to call Kelly Olmstead at 272-209-5912. Donations of any items (or financial support for us to buy items) will be a tremendous help for the program.
