Covenant Cafe to meet April 7

LOCK HAVEN — The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, will be meeting on Tuesday, April 7, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

The group will be viewing a photo show of their activities in the past year compiled by volunteer photographer, Bill Raco. They will also be making a spring craft followed by seated Tai Chi conducted by volunteer Kitty Oechler. Refreshments will be served during a social time.

The Covenant Cafe is a joint venture between the Nurturing, Outreach and Worship Committee of Covenant United Methodist, the Alzheimer’s Support Group and the Alzheimer’s Association. Participants in this group are given an opportunity to be involved in socially and physically stimulating programs which will help them remain as active as possible.
