Howard Happenings
EGG HUNTS
There’s many egg hunts planned for tomorrow, April 4, just ahead of the Easter holiday.
The weather looks to be cloudy but warm, with the chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm by the afternoon. I’m sure the kiddos will love the egg hunting experience. Be sure to bring your own bag, basket or bucket to fill with Easter eggs.
Tomorrow is also the opening day of fishing season, so if the fish aren’t biting you can take the kids to hunt eggs instead.

Younger kiddos get to eat free. The SVBTMC offers a breakfast each month so the club can help people in the community who are going through some critical hardships or organizations who need a little help with raising funds to continue their causes.
During the breakfasts there are basket benefits held to help others. This month the basket raffle proceeds will go to help Heidi’s Furry Friends Rescue, Inc. .
Baskets are needed to raise funds to help the animals this month. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle, the basket raffle and the special door prizes will help to cover veterinary bills, emergency medical care, food, litter and other animal rescue expenses.

CEMETERY CLEAN-UP
Fairview Cemetery will be holding clean-up activities starting on May 1, so please visit the cemetery and take off the grave decorations of your loved ones that you want to keep. If you care to remove all the old and faded items that would be much appreciated by the clean-up volunteers.
Please do not remove the American flags that are placed on the graves of the veterans buried at the cemetery. Allowing the flags to stand will make it easier for the volunteers to put the new flags on for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday.
Fairview Cemetery is located in Boggs Township at the intersection of Bullit Run Road and Fairview Road and just up the hill from Curtin Hollow Road. If you have any questions about cemetery clean-up at Fairview Cemetery, please call Pastor Dave Etters at 814-355-2815.
