PennDOT places speed display board on Route 144

MILESBURG — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) placed a radar-controlled speed display board this week on Route 144 in Milesburg Borough, Centre County. It is intended to remind drivers to obey the posted speed limit and reduce speeding, a common type of aggressive driving behavior. The board faces northbound traffic between Eagle Street and Water Street in Milesburg, in a 35 mile per hour zone. Covenant Cafe to meet Friday, May 15, due to Primary Election

LOCK HAVEN — The Covenant Cafe, an activity group for those in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias, will be meeting on Friday, May 15, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the STEP Office of Aging, 124 E. Walnut St., Lock Haven. The meeting has been rescheduled from the original date of Tuesday, May 19, due to Election Day and moved to the local Senior Center where they will participate in the Music Jam with the Twisted Racquet Tears.
