Two fatal crashes reported in Centre County

STATE COLLEGE — Two fatal car crashes were reported in Centre County late last week, just days apart, according to local officials. The first crash took place on Wednesday, June 10 near the intersection of South Allen Street and Easterly Parkway in the area of Sunrise Terrace. According to a report from the Centre County Coroner’s office, Raina A. Kassoway, 48, of Boalsburg, died as a result of injuries sustained in the one-vehicle rollover crash. JERSEY SHORE — Confronting a roughly $1 million budget deficit, the Jersey Shore Area School District is considering cuts to staffing and student programs that parents and community members have criticized.
