LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Council approved a number of use requests for various events and beautification leading from late summer into the fall. First for approval was a request from the Lock Haven Regatta Foundation to close Water Street from Jay Street to Washington Street from Sept. 3 to 8 for the annual Labor Day Regatta. This was the second reading and final approval of the closure. Deer management tags available for city’s watershed areas

McELHATTAN — Deer management tags are now available for the City of Lock Haven’s watershed areas. The Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) was developed by the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) to provide support to landowners who are struggling with the results of deer damage on their property. DMAP allows for additional antlerless deer tags to be available on particular properties — where a temporary reduction in deer numbers may be necessary to accomplish forest management goals. Council OKs agreement with firm as it continues zoning, SALDO review

LOCK HAVEN — As it continues to review its proposed overhaul to its Zoning and Subdivision and Land Development Ordinances, Lock Haven City Council unanimously approved extending its agreement with the contractor assisting in these efforts. On Monday night, council voted to approve a supplemental agreement between the city and Michael Baker International, which has assisted the city in its overhaul of the zoning ordinance and SALDO since last year.
