One-vehicle crash

JERSEY SHORE — A one-vehicle crash was investigated by State Police at Lamar in the early hours of May 1.

According to police, Kyle Harstead, 28, of Jersey Shore was traveling north on state Route 880, Rauchtown Road in Crawford Township, Clinton County. Police say that Harstead’s 2017 Ford F-150 XLT hydroplaned and it struck a guide rail, causing major damage to the vehicle. The crash took place shortly after midnight.

Harstead was not hurt in the crash. Bressler’s Garage had to tow the vehicle from the scene.

Door damaged

MILL HALL — State Police at Lamar investigated a case of criminal mischief that took place sometime between April 27 and May 1 along Fox Hollow Road in Porter Township, Clinton County.

According to police, someone damaged an exterior door and a door frame at property owned by Ralph Dotterer, 68, of Mill Hall. Although there was no damage estimate, it was listed as being under $1,000. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police.

License plate stolen

BEECH CREEK — A 56-year-old Beech Creek man had a license plate stolen from his 1997 Ford F-150 XLT. The theft took place sometime between November of 2019 and May 1 in Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County.

Theft investigated

MILL HALL — A case of theft was investigated by State Police at Lamar. According to police, a 20-year-old Mill Hall female sent $330 to an individual through Facebook messenger for a PlayStation 4 and a headset. Once the money was sent, the individual blocked her and would not return phone calls or messages to obtain the items.

The incident took place on April 30. The investigation continues.

Drug possession

MILL HALL — State Police at Lamar were called to 31 Hospitality Lane on April 29 to assist Clinton County Probation.

Once on the scene, police took Clarence Taylor, 27, of Lock Haven into custody and discovered that he was in possession of a large amount of counterfeit controlled substances and related paraphernalia.

Charges were filed through District Court 25-3-02.

Identity theft

HOWARD — Someone tried to steal the identity of a 77-year-old Howard woman on March 30.

According to state olice at Rockview, the woman’s information was changed on her Social Security account. The woman did not have any money stolen and the investigation continues.

Burglary investigated

LOGANTON — A case of burglary was investigated by State Police at Lamar.

According to police, sometime on either April 29 or April 30, someone broke into a private residence at 131 South St., in Loganton Borough, Clinton County. The unknown actor entered the residence through an open window and used a hand drill to drill a hole through one of the bedroom doors.

Reckless endangerment

GREENE TOWNSHIP — State Police at Lamar were led on a high-speed chase after a driver drove through a road closure.

According to police, on April 26, Interstate 80 was shut down at mile marker 188 due to a crash. However, Johannan Kelly, 46, of Portland, Ore., drove through the closure and led troopers on a pursuit. Kelly, who was driving a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq, was taken into custody.

Drug possession

AVIS — Two Huntingdon residents were arrested following a traffic stop along Frank D. O’Reilly Highway in Lamar Township, Clinton County.

According to state police at Lamar, Lawrence Hume, 38, and Jennifer Kelly, 38, both of Huntingdon were stopped in their 2005 GM Sierra for several traffic violations. During the investigation, police discovered several bags of marijuana, marijuana wax and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed against the two through Magisterial District Justice 25-3-01, Keith Kibler.

The incident took place at 7:26 p.m. on Feb. 22.
