DUI

CASTANEA — A 63-year-old man, of Lock Haven, was arrested for driving under the influence at the intersection of South Hanna Street and Nestlerode Street in Castanea Township on Nov. 5, according to state police at Lamar.

At about 11:32 p.m., police initiated a traffic stop on the arrestee for multiple violations. He was determined to allegedly be under the influence of alcoholic beverages and consented to chemical testing.

Charges are pending lab results.

DUI, fleeing and eluding police

AVIS — Augustus Meyers, 18, of Medina, Ohio, was arrested for driving under the influence and fleeing and eluding police after crashing his 2016 Nissan 370 Z at the intersection of Harley Drive and Island Drive following an alleged chase by state police at Lamar.

At 8:33 p.m. on Nov. 4, Meyers was observed traveling at a high rate of speed. Police eventually turned on their emergency lights and Meyers allegedly failed to stop. He continued, eventually leaving the roadway and flipping his vehicle onto its roof, police said.

Meyers was taken into custody on scene and was charged with fleeing and eluding, DUI and related charges.

Animal neglect

AVIS — State police at Lamar responded to a residence along Mallard Lane in Pine Creek Township for an alleged incident of animal neglect on Nov. 12.

Police are investigating the incident.

Crime by deception

FLEMINGTON — $200 was allegedly stolen from a 57-year-old woman, of Lock Haven, according to state police at Lamar.

The money was taken from the victim through an internet scam through Facebook for a craft show registration. They attempted to reserve a spot for the show but she was scammed out of the fee, police said.

If anyone has information regarding the investigation, they are asked to contact state police.

DUI

FLEMINGTON — A 33-year-old man, of Lock Haven, was arrested for a DUI-related crash at the intersection of High Street and Huston Street on Nov. 3, according to state police at Lamar. Charges are pending chemical test results.

Harassment

LAMAR — Steven Hagenbuch, 47, of Lamar, was allegedly charged with harassment following an altercation with his 13-year-old son, of Lamar, at a residence along Stryker Lane in Porter Township on Oct. 31, according to state police at Lamar.

Damaged political signs

LAMAR — Between Nov. 3 and Nov. 4, three political signs were damaged at three different locations within Porter Township, Greene Township and Loganton Borough, according to state police at Lamar. The investigation is ongoing.

Crash with injury

MILL HALL — Owen Zvara, 24, of Jersey Shore, sustained injuries following a crash along US220 in Mill Hall Borough on Nov. 10, according to state police at Lamar.

The crash took place around 4:38 p.m. when Zvara struck a guide rail with the front of his 2013 Honda Civic, police said.

After the impact, the vehicle began rotating counter clockwise, crossed both southbound lanes and struck the guide rail on the left side of the roadway, police said. The vehicle continued spinning counter clockwise until it came to a stop with its rear bumper against the guide rail.

Zvara was transported via Goodwill Hose Ambulance to UPMC Williamsport. He was allegedly not wearing a seatbelt during the time of the crash. Lamar and Bald Eagle Township Fire Companies and Martin Motors also assisted on the scene.

Crime by deception

MILL HALL — A 63-year-old woman, of Mill Hall, was the victim of a crime by deception incident when she lost $3,894.93 after providing her bank information via phone to an unknown suspect on Nov. 8, according to state police at Lamar. Police are investigating.

Theft of pants

MILL HALL — A 23-year-old woman, of Weedville, was cited with retail theft after allegedly stealing two pairs of pants from the Mill Hall Walmart, at 167 Hogan Boulevard, on Nov. 5, according to state police at Lamar.

Disorderly conduct

BEECH CREEK — April Swackhammer, 42, of Mill Hall, was charged with disorderly conduct after she was allegedly observed throwing multiple eggs at a residence, belonging to a 67-year-old man, along Harrison Street in Beech Creek Borough on Nov. 7, according to state police at Lamar. Swackhammer fled the area in an unknown direction until she was caught by police.
