Theft from vehicle
LOCK HAVEN — A 72-year-old man reported a theft that occurred between Dec. 4 and 6 when his firearm, a Sturm, Ruger and Co. Inc. CT 1911 stainless steel semi-automatic pistol with a wooden grip, was stolen from his 2010 blue Ford in Castanea Township, according to state police at Lamar.

Criminal trespassing
MILL HALL — On Dec. 3 and 7, an individual allegedly trespassed onto a victim’s property near Munro Road in Bald Eagle Township, according to state police at Lamar.
The investigation is ongoing.
Simple assault
LOCK HAVEN — Jesse Charles Shields, 38, of Lock Haven, was charged with simple assault and harassment following a complaint on Jan. 10 from Children and Youth Services for possible child abuse involving a 7-year-old juvenile, according to the Woodward Township Police Dept.
After investigation, it was determined that Shields struck the juvenile in the head and body, causing bruising and injury to the child, police said.
Charges were filed through District Judge Kibbler’s office.
Aggravated assault with DUI
RENOVO — Criminal charges of aggravated assault and DUI are pending against Jeremiah Wilson, 42, of Renovo, following an altercation between Wilson and EMS on Dec. 13 at approximately 2:11 a.m., according to state police at Lamar.
EMS was called to the 100 block of 13th St. in Renovo for an unresponsive male in a vehicle, determined to be Wilson, police said.
During treatment, Wilson allegedly assaulted EMS personnel, police said.
Wilson was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time, police said.
