Damaged trees

LOCK HAVEN — State police at Lamar are investigating an incident of criminal mischief involving trees.

According to police, between Jan. 9 and 12, trees were damaged at Holy Spirits Cemetery along Glenn Road, Allison Township.

Anyone with information about the tree damage is asked to contact the state police at Lamar at 570-726-6000.

Vehicle rear-ended

MILL HALL — No injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash along Nittany Valley Drive, Porter Township, where it intersects with the on-ramp to Interstate 80, state police at Lamar said.

On Jan. 3 at 12:17 p.m., Aleksandre Iluridze, 46, of Philadelphia, was in the left turning lane of Nittany Valley Drive waiting to turn left onto I-80 West when his 2019 Volvo VNR was rear-ended by a 2003 GMC Envoy, driven by Kyle A. Wagner, 28, of Lock Haven, police said.

Wagner was cited in relation to driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.

Drug possession

BELLEFONTE — Geoffrey Field, 59, of State College, was arrested for driving under the influence and charged with drug possession just after midnight on Jan. 31 when stopped by police on Interstate 99 south in Benner Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Harassment

CENTRE HALL — Israal Al-Sulaimani, 21, of State College, was cited for harassment after an incident at The Meadows on the evening of Feb. 1, according to state police at Rockview.

The perpetrator and victim were both patients at the Potter Township mental health facility, according to police.

Lane violation

MILESBURG — Jonathan Koonce, 45, of Burien, Wash., was charged with disobedience to a traffic control device after driving a tractor-trailer in the right lane on Interstate 80 in Boggs Township, where trucks are required to travel in the left lane, according to state police at Rockview.

Police said the vehicle was traveling in the right lane around 10 p.m. Feb. 1 when it left the roadway and struck a guide rail, causing damage to both the rail and the truck.

LAMAR — The driver and passenger of a 2018 Nissan Versa were transported for suspected injuries following a one-vehicle crash along Interstate 80 in Lamar Township, state police at Lamar said.

On Jan. 14 at 8:42 a.m., Rosarelys Espinoza, 39, of Macomb, Mich., and her passenger, a 13-year-old female, of Macomb, Mich., were traveling east on the roadway when the Nissan left the lane of travel and continued up an embankment, police said.

The vehicle then struck a tree, causing disabling damage, police said.

Both Espinoza and her passenger were transported by Goodwill Hose EMS to UPMC Lock Haven for reports of minor injuries, police said.

Avoidance crash

MILESBURG — A single-vehicle crash in Boggs Township on Interstate 80 at about 6 a.m. Jan. 25 occurred when a driver attempted to avoid a tractor-trailer parked along the highway, according to state police at Rockview.

Lukas Vavrak, 29, of Garfield, N.J., was traveling east when he began passing a tractor-trailer pulled onto the shoulder. Believing the truck was starting to move, he jerked the steering wheel and struck an embankment, police said. Vavrak was able to return to the shoulder, but his 2014 Toyota RAV4 sustained disabling damage.

JACKSONVILLE — A crash occurred at about 6:19 a.m. Jan. 25 near the intersection of Jacksonville Road and Forest Avenue in Spring Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Kenneth L. Brown, III, 27, of Hyde, lost control of his 2022 Mazda3 and struck a temporary construction barrier off the left side of the roadway, police said. Brown was not injured, but the vehicle sustained disabling damage.

ZION — On Jan. 31 Helen E. Sundquist, 48, of Bellefonte, was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic after her 2012 Kia Sorento collided with a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder attempting to turn onto a private driveway off Nittany Valley Drive, according to state police at Rockview.

Tree collision

SPRING MILLS — Matthew B. Sailors, 18, of Spring Mills, was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic after leaving the roadway in a 2012 Hyundai Elantra and striking a tree along Penns Valley Road in Gregg Township, according to state police.

No injuries were reported, but the Elantra was towed from the scene.

Retail theft

LOCK HAVEN — Larry Allen Glenn, 75, was arrested by Lock Haven City Police for retail theft following an investigation on Nov. 3.

According to police, officers were contacted by a Loss Prevention employee for Weis Markets in Lock Haven, who said they had multiple retail theft incidents from a customer that occurred at this and the Mill Hall store.

The employee provided officers with the video surveillance from the Lock Haven store which showed that on Oct. 10, 2025, at approximately 8:02 p.m., an individual, later identified as Glenn, exited the store after making a purchase of other items, removed three mum plants from the exterior of the store, placed them inside his vehicle, and left without paying for the mums, police said.

Glenn was charged with retail theft.

Allegations involving the Mill Hall store were reported to and investigated by PSP Lamar, police said.
