Vehicle disabled in crash

LOGANTON — The driver of a 2017 Mazda CX-5 denied injuries following a one-vehicle crash along West Valley Road in Logan Township on Feb. 22, state police at Lamar said.

At 12:47 p.m., Miranda O. Sosa, 23, of Haddon Township, N.J., was traveling south on the roadway when, while negotiating a left curve, traveled off the west side and struck a ditch, police said.

Sosa was not injured but the vehicle was disabled as a result of the crash, police said.

Call of erratic driving

leads to arrest

LOGANTON — On March 9 at 2 p.m., state police at Lamar received a call regarding an erratic driver, possibly intoxicated on Interstate 80 West in Greene Township.

According to police, a traffic stop was conducted on a 1990 Chevrolet Astro van in Lamar Township after it was observed to be driving poorly.

During the stop, the driver, a 59-year-old Renovo man, was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.

The driver, name not listed, was transported to PSP Lamar barracks pending a chemical test of breath, police said.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Minor injuries reported

in crash

RAUCHTOWN — The driver of a 2003 Mercury Sable was transported for possible injuries following a one-vehicle crash along state Route 880 in Crawford Township on Feb. 26, state police at Lamar said.

At 10:25 p.m., Chad W. DeLong, 29, of Williamsport, was traveling near Sand Spring Road when his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane of travel, police said.

DeLong attempted to correct back into the south lane but lost control of the vehicle, traveling back into the north lane, striking a rock embankment and rolling onto its roof, police said.

DeLong was transported to UPMC Williamsport by Jersey Shore EMS for suspected minor injuries, police said.

Police were assisted on the scene by Nippenose Valley Fire Volunteer Fire Co., Jersey Shore EMS and Bressler’s Towing.

Vehicle crashes on icy roads

LOCK HAVEN — The driver of a 2022 International Harvester HV507 suffered suspected minor injuries after a one-vehicle crash along Coudersport Pike, Gallagher Township, on March 3, state police at Lamar said.

At 6:04 a.m., Matthew T. McCabe, 44, of Williamsport, was negotiating a left-hand curve at about 40 miles per hour when, due to icy road conditions, he lost control of the vehicle and left the west side of the road, police said.

The vehicle struck a tree with the driver’s side front end and spun 180 degrees, facing south before rolling over onto its side, police said.

McCabe was transported by Lock Haven EMS to UPMC Williamsport for suspected minor injuries, police said.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Eagle Towing and Recovery.

Burglary

RENOVO — State police at Lamar are investigating a burglary that occurred along 13th Street in Renovo Borough.

According to police, the burglary occurred between 1 and 8:30 p.m. on March 1 where the unknown suspect entered the residence through a front door, stealing various items, police said.
