State police find $200k in gold bars; now they’re trying to find who owns them

MILTON —State police at Milton are trying to identify the owners of approximately $200,000 in gold bars that they believe came from unsuspecting scam victims. On Sept. 10, troopers said they stopped a 2025 Honda Accord with California registration 9TTS143 on Interstate 80 west of Route 15 in Union County. Gold and an identity-theft affidavit were found in the car and two occupants, whose names were not disclosed, were taken into custody, they said. BELLEFONTE — A 45-year-old Bellefonte woman was indicted on child pornagraphy related charges through the United States Attorney General’s office. Shannon M. Ishler was indicted by a federal grand jury this week for production of child pornography by any parent, legal guardian and person having custody or control of a minor and possession of child pornography, according to a release from the US Attorney General’s Office’s Middle District of Pennsylvania. DUI HYNER — State police at Lamar initiated a traffic stop on a 2018 black Ram in Chapman Township on Aug. 5, at approximately 7:34 p.m., police said. Through investigation, it was determined that the operator, a 30-year-old Renovo woman, was under the influence of alcohol, police said.
