LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven Fire Department along with Lock Haven EMS and Goodwill Hose EMS were able to secure a trapped individual during a fire on the second floor of an apartment at 309 E. Main St. over the weekend. Identities of those with unsettled claims in PSU hazing death case ordered released

WILLIAMSPORT — A federal judge has ordered the release of the identity of the parties that have not settled claims related to the 2017 hazing death of a Penn State student. The order issued Tuesday by U.S. Middle District Judge Matthew W. Brann directs James and Evelyn Piazza to release those names by March 20. Their son, Timothy, 19, died Feb. 4, 2017, two days after becoming intoxicated and falling down steps at an event at the Beta Theta Pi fraternity house. Storage unit theft MILESBURG — Police responded Feb. 16 to a reported theft from a storage unit on Pleasantview Boulevard in Boggs Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview. The unit’s owners — a 37-year-old man from Bellefonte and a 59-year-old woman from Pleasant Gap — told police that several items were taken from the unit between Dec. 25, 2025, and Feb. 16, 2026.
