Drug possession LOCK HAVEN — On Dec. 20, a traffic stop involving a Dodge Durango was initiated in Bald Eagle Township for Title 75 violations, according to state police at Lamar. Upon further investigation, the operator of the vehicle, a 31-year-old male, of Upper Marlboro, Md., was determined to be under the influence of drugs, police said. BELLEFONTE — A reported death by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections at SCI Benner in Bellefonte was the result of an apparent suicide, according to state police at Rockview. According to a release by DOC, it was reported inmate Ryan James Paige, 36, passed away on Friday, Jan. 30, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. “Paige was found unresponsive in his cell on Jan. 29, 2026. MILESBURG — A 64-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Interstate 80 in Boggs Township after he was ejected from his vehicle, according to the Centre County Coroner’s Office. Centre County 911 received a report at approximately 7:05 a.m. on Jan. 29 of a pickup truck in the median of the highway, with one male occupant ejected from the vehicle, the coroner said.
