County man pleads guilty to receipt of child porn

WILLIAMSPORT — A Clinton County man, a federal prosecutor says, who turned to child pornography after breaking up with his girlfriend, is facing at least five years in prison, but more likely double that. Michael Adam Meyer, 28, pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. Middle District Court to a charge of receipt of child pornography. The charge carries a five-year mandatory minimum prison sentence, but the prosecuting and defense attorneys said a term in the 10-year range is more likely. Accidental shooting LAMAR — An accidental shooting resulted in non-life threatening injuries along Washington Avenue in Porter Township on Sept. 11, state police at Lamar said. According to police, troopers were called to the area at 3:49 a.m. for an accidental shooting. Multiple retail thefts pending MILL HALL — Charges of retail theft are pending for two incidents that occurred at Walmart along Hogan Boulevard, Bald Eagle Township, on Sept. 11, state police at Lamar said. The first incident was reported at 8:42 a.m., when a 37-year-old Lock Haven woman was accused of trying to steal $266.36 in general merchandise, police said.
