PSP: Colebrook Twp. park victim of multiple incidents of property damage

FARRANDSVILLE — State police at Lamar are investigating multiple incidents of criminal mischief and property damage, including burned objects that took place over multiple years, at Colebrook Community Park along Farrandsville Road. According to police, between July 10, 2021, and July 10, 2026, multiple instances of damage have been reported in the park. Recently, between July 8 and July 10, unknown actors burned multiple 6x6 posts, two picnic tables, plastic electrical conduit, building siding and damaged other boards on the picnic tables, police said. Retail theft LOCK HAVEN — Ronald D. Winkleman, 64, of Lock Haven, was arrested and charged with a second degree misdemeanor retail theft on May 27 at approximately 1:08 p.m., according to Woodward Township police. Winkleman allegedly entered the Nittany Minit Mart and stole four cans of alcohol valued at $13.76, police said. According to police, Winkleman had two other active warrants for him prior to the retail theft, one of which was for a previous retail theft conviction. LH man arrested for corruption of minors

LOCK HAVEN — A Lock Haven man was arrested last week and charged with corruption of minors following an investigation into possible inappropriate contact, state police at Lamar said. On July 16 at 6:56 p.m., police were called to the 500 block of James Street, Flemington, for reports of corruption or minors involving 19-year-old Alex Payton Sycz. According to police, through their investigation, Sycz admitted to kissing a minor. Charges were filed through District Judge Keith Kibler’s office. No further information about the incident has been made available.

LH man sentenced for wrong-way crash that killed father, unborn child

LOCK HAVEN — A Clinton County motorist who killed a father and his unborn child in a wrong-way driving accident has been sentenced to 10 to 20 years in state prison. The sentence imposed Thursday in county court on Dwight L. Meyer, 30, of Lock Haven, was on charges of homicide by vehicle, homicide by vehicle while under the influence and aggravated assault by vehicle. He pleaded guilty in 2025 to those charges plus driving under the influence and six counts of recklessly endangering another person. He was placed on two years’ probation on the endangering charges.
