Teens injured in fiery crash in Benner Township

GROVE PARK — Brenda Heverly, 19, of Moshannon, and three teenage passengers in a 2017 Kia Forte she was operating were hospitalized following a fiery crash on Jan. 11, according to state police at Rockview. The crash occurred around 8 p.m. on Valley View Road, east of North Fillmore Road in Benner Township, when a deer entered the roadway in front of Heverly’s vehicle. Heverly swerved to avoid the deer, leaving the left-hand side of the roadway. Vehicle rolls in crash JERSEY SHORE — The driver of a 2008 Honda Pilot suffered minor injuries following a one vehicle crash along Rockey Road in Crawford Township on Jan. 2, state police at Lamar said. At 4:36 p.m., Cody J. Hoffman, 23, of Jersey Shore, was traveling south on the roadway at about 45 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone when he failed to negotiate a left curve and struck an embankment, police said. One vehicle accident LAMAR — The driver of a 2009 Honda Accord was not injured following a one vehicle crash along Interstate 80 West, Porter Township, on Jan. 4, state police at Lamar said.
