JS man dies in early morning crash in Rauchtown area

RAUCHTOWN — A Jersey Shore man was killed early Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash in the 2800 block of Rauchtown Road, Nippenose Valley Fire Chief Dean Miller confirmed. The accident occurred at 5:40 a.m., less than two miles from the Clinton-Lycoming county line. The male victim, driving an SUV, was traveling south on Rauchtown Road when he lost control of the vehicle, Miller said. Traffic stop LOCK HAVEN — Lycoming regional police conducted a routine traffic stop on Jason Robert Yahn, 41, of Lock Haven, at 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 25 when the man failed to yield to the stop. According to court documents, Yahn was traveling along the 9600 block of Route 22 South in Piatt Township on his 2001 Unicar Sundiro without eye protection or a helmet. Truck accident MILESBURG — On Nov. 1, at 2:30 a.m., a tractor-trailer operated by Maninderjit Singh, 30, of New Hyde Park, N.Y., experienced brake failure while exiting Interstate 80 onto Eagle Valley Road in Boggs Township, according to state police at Rockview. The vehicle crossed the road, struck a guide rail and collided with a set of railroad tracks, police said. The 2020 Freightliner Cascadia sustained heavy damage, rupturing its fuel tank and overturning its trailer, police said.
