Double homicide reported in Williamsport

WILLIAMSPORT - Two people are dead in what Williamsport police are calling a double homicide. City police said a report of shots fired came in to 911 about 12:30 a.m. Friday in the 1700 block of Terrace Place, just south of High Street and north of Bowman Field. Officers found a vehicle containing “an adult male and an adult female who were fatally shot,” police said. No further information was available this afternoon as an investigation is ongoing. PennDOT Reduces Speed Limits on Several Area Roadways

Due to the severity of the winter storm, PennDOT is temporarily reducing the speed limit on several roadways in the region. PennDOT has lifted the speed limit and right-lane only commercial vehicle restrictions that were in place on several roadways in the region.
